Hi! I'm Karen. A wife, mom, marketer, and an imperfect human who spent a lot of her life not realizing how heavy she was carrying things.
The weight of other people's opinions. The pressure to perform. The exhaustion of chasing validation and never quite feeling like enough, even when things looked great on the outside.
Sound familiar?
That's what One Day at a Time is about. Not having it all together, but becoming a better version of yourself, slowly, imperfectly, one day at a time. Giving yourself and others a little more grace. And changing the way you think about the hard things, because life will always have hard things, and it genuinely gets easier when you do change the way you think.
There's a verse I keep coming back to: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2. That's really the whole thing. One thought, one day, one small choice at a time.
My faith shapes a lot of what I share here. But you don't have to be where I am to belong. You just have to be tired of carrying what was never yours to carry in the first place.
There are plenty of days I find myself carrying a lot. But the more I practice looking at things differently, the easier it gets to let some of that weight go. I'm glad you're here.
